Joint Committee meets quarterly and has one councillor, supported by a senior manager from each of the 10 partners. Its role is to approve the partnerships' overall work programme, resources and priorities, ensuring that the needs of partners on joint improvement projects are identified and met.
It receives reports on the progress of projects, ensuring that work is progressing as it should. Appointed annually, the Joint Committee chairman is the partnership's ambassador to the public and local government.
The partnership is accountable to the public as elected councillors make its important decisions.
